Our People

The company is headed by Celliers Kruger, one of South Africa's most accomplished whitewater paddlers, who happened to be a mechanical engineer with an excellent understanding of fluid dynamics. He is the Managing Director of Fluid and also the designer of Fluid's products, and his vision will ensure that you always get the cutting edge in kayak design.

Marinus Coetzee met Celliers in 1993, but to Celliers' shame, he only managed to get Marinus into a kayak when he joined Fluid early 2005. Marinus is a Chartered Accountant and his administration and financial expertise is key in making Fluid run smoothly. He kayaks for fun, but instead of cooking on the rivers he is cooking the books.

Annemarie Meiring joined Fluid in 2008 as Bookkeeper. Besides her accounting skills she is also a qualified chef, an expertise which comes in handy when she helps Marinus cooking the books. She liaises with our raw material suppliers to ensure that everybody else on this page has work to do.

Magda Roscherr spent 3 years as Celliers' personal assistant before being appointed as General Factory Manager. She is involved in everything from Marketing to R&D to Projects to Production to Sales. Count on her to keep everybody on their toes and tie all the loose pieces together.

George Mokhobo is Fluid's Moulding Supervisor. George was Fluid's second employee, he helped shape the first boats, he helped to build our first rotomoulding machine, and today he is in charge of our three machines. He calls the rotomoulding machines his babies, and makes sure that every boat moulded is of first class quality.

Rudolph Roscherr is in charge of Assembling and Quality Control. He brought a wealth of experience to Fluid when he joined the company in 2007. He enjoys kayaking, but he swears he will never run a waterfall.

Joe Groenewald is our man on the floor responsible for General Maintenance. When he's not building or fixing something, he can be found in the R&D facility helping to create new toys. He is a competent paddler and guide, and understands what is needed to keep other paddlers happy.

Joseph Williams is our R&D Supervisor and very experienced mouldmaker. His hands-on approach ensures that the plugs, patterns and aluminium moulds are finished to standard by our R&D crew.

Antoilene Keulder is our very friendly Sales lady, looking after our South African customers. In addition to her substantial administration skills, she is an avid recreational paddler.

Jan van der Walt is responsible for Customer Relations and Support as well as Marketing. Count on him for speedy responses on any queries that you might have. Jan is a trained graphic designer and he's been paddling for 14 years, of which the past 3 years was in a whitewater kayak.

Pierre van Niekerk is responsible for everything related to Production. He is a mechanical engineer with 6 years production experience and he's been kayaking for 4 years. His enthusiasm for technical matters, for the Fluid brand, for kayaking, and for life in general makes him a great addition to our team.
