Fluid's Standard Warranty

At Fluid we take pride in producing high quality products. Our attention to detail and stringent quality control, from the raw material supply to final detail, assures that we have confidence in our products. We have the conditions to test the products to the limit, to make sure that you have peace of mind when you really need it.

We use a super strong material for the shells of our kayaks. We tried to think of a really funky name for it to impress you, but eventually we decided the proof is in the pudding, so now we just call it plastic. We use some of the best raw material available on the market, and together with tight control of the moulding process, it assures that you get a boat with very high stiffness, impact strength and abrasion resistance. Everyone with a bit of knowledge about Medium Density Linear Polyethylene will know that these properties don't really go hand in hand, but we found a good compromise. Test it.

The shells are moulded in our own rotational moulding machines, and most of the outfitting is also made in-house, while some pieces are outsourced to reputable manufacturers.

Fluid has a limited warranty policy. We warrant our kayaks to be free of manufacturing defects to the original owner for a period of three years from the date of purchase. The warranty will not cover normal abrasion or abnormal use.

In the first year from date of purchase, defective shells will be repaired or replaced by Fluid free of charge. In the second year, shells will be repaired or replaced for 20% of the current Fluid retail price. In the third year, shells will be repaired or replaced for 45% of the current Fluid retail price.

To activate the warranty, the owner will have to register the product within 10 days from date of purchase, by sending the supplied warranty card directly to Fluid or to one of the distributors, or by filling in our online warranty form.
